About the Role

We are seeking a driven and resourceful intern to support the development of digital tools that enhance the workflow for generation statistics within the engineering environment. This role provides hands‑on exposure to application development, data workflow design, and digitalisation initiatives in a power plant setting.

You will be attached to the Engineering Support team and collaborate closely with the Engineering, Maintenance & Operations Planning team as well as the IT team. You will contribute to designing intuitive data interfaces, automating KPI calculations, building dashboards, and exploring the development of an AI-powered chatbot to improve knowledge accessibility.


Key Responsibilities
  • As part of the Engineering Support team, you will work with experienced colleagues and cross-functional partners to:
    • Assist in designing the end-to-end data workflow for generation statistics (data capture, validation, storage, processing)
    • Develop user‑friendly data input forms/pages for daily and monthly operational data
    • Implement automated KPI calculation logic using predefined engineering and reliability formulas
    • Support the development of dashboards and reporting interfaces for operational and management use
    • Work with Engineering & Operations Planning teams to understand data structures, reporting requirements, and business needs
    • Partner with the IT team on system architecture, database setup, and platform integration activities
    • Explore and optionally prototype an AI chatbot capable of retrieving plant documents and records from SharePoint
Requirements
Academic Background
  • Undergraduate student in:
    • Data Science
    • Computer Science
    • Engineering (Computing, Software, or related)
Technical Skills
  • Experience and knowledge in:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis
    • Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate)
    • Basic programming or scripting in Python, JavaScript, or SQL
    • Understanding of database concepts and data workflow design
    • Experience with SharePoint or cloud‑based data storage environments
    • Exposure to AI/ML concepts or chatbot development
