If you are a Senoko Energy customer, you would have received Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) issued by trusted renewable energy farms. Your RECs are a great way to track the amount of renewable energy you’ve switched to and carbon emission you’ve helped reduce.

RECs represent green electricity produced using environmentally-friendly methods (such as solar, wind or hydro) in the form of certificates. Any clean energy producer in the world that produces 1 megawatt-hour of electricity can be issued one REC.

Recognised by the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol Scope 2 Guidance, the certificate serves as proof that the electricity is sustainable, and is a commodity that can be traded.

By purchasing RECs via Senoko, your energy consumption is offset by renewable energy generated from clean energy producers around the world.
