In 1977, we were commissioned to be one of Singapore’s energy providers. Since then, we’ve held on to our promise. The promise that we’ll power our nation, with energy solutions created with our people in mind. Energy that helps you live sustainably. Energy you can trust. Energy that stays with you—and your future generations—for life.
We are constantly looking for ways to help households to #LiveSmartSaveSmart. Like designing energy plans that give you greater control of your bills. Offering you more ways than one to lighten your carbon footprint. And in the near future—bringing you the power of smart technology, to help keep your loved ones safe at home while you’re hard at work.
We understand that operating expenses play a vital role in maintaining your business’s profitability. So even while market conditions remain uncertain, we stand firm on helping our corporate clients to lower their business risk in a volatile energy market. Smart energy consumption-monitoring and transparent billing solutions are some of the many ways we help you to better manage your energy bills.
We believe in taking charge of our future. As the energy world transits to renewable and sustainable sources, we are leading the charge towards net-zero emission in Singapore. Our current initiatives include exploring cleaner energy options with industry leaders to pave the way for a greener, brighter tomorrow.
Senoko Power Station is a combined cycle power station and the only power generation plant in northern Singapore. As one of the largest and most efficient power generation plants in town, Senoko Power Station has a licensed capacity of 2,644 megawatts (MW) and supplies about 20 per cent of the nation’s electricity needs.
The power plant originally operated under the Public Utilities Board (PUB) in Singapore between 1977 and 1995, and was subsequently divested to Singapore Power in 1995. After being acquired by a global consortium in 2008, the station is now wholly operated by Senoko Energy Pte Ltd.
The company's retail arm that sells electricity and energy solutions, aimed at helping households and businesses manage their energy costs and improve their energy efficiency.
A provider of fuel storage tank leasing and terminal services.
A licensed gas shipper and retailer that is authorised by the Energy Market Authority to ship gas throughout the country's gas network.
During Singapore’s infancy stage of economic growth, the Public Utilities Board (PUB) saw the need to establish a reliable supply of electricity for the country.
In 1977, Senoko Power Station was built as part of PUB’s plan for energy self-reliance. Our inaugural station was located at the former British Naval Base, Sembawang. Officially unveiled on 31 July 1977 by then Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr S. Rajaratnam, the plant touted some of the most advanced technologies in that era, including a 3x120MW steam plant with computer-based control system and automatic data logging system for operations.
Built on the tenet of innovation, we are constantly exploring cleaner and more efficient ways of generating energy.
1992: First power generation company in Singapore to import clean natural gas for power generation, reducing carbon emissions by 42%
1997: First to launch a combined cycle plant that ran on both natural gas and diesel, with a total generation capacity of 850MW
1998: Our first ISO certification — ISO 9001

During the fish-hunting season, all the penguins will gather at the tip of the iceberg.
Not everybody is going to jump into the water at first. Just like within any group of people, there are varying levels of risk-aversion, fear, and skill.
Then, the First Penguin jumps in. Motivated by hunger and the needs of her community, she takes a calculated risk to explore the unknown.
Someone has to lead the way, so why not me? This is the attitude that we’ll like to instill in our employees. To bravely take charge, embrace change, and lead the way to provide energy for many generations to come.
